Supergiant Games formed by Command & Conquer 3 devs

GDC: New studio formed by ex-EA staff

Appearing at GDC this week, Supergiant Games is a new independent studio made up of former members of EA’s Los Angeles studio, the developers behind Commnd & Conquer 3 and Red Alert 3.

The three-man studio is made up of designers Amir Rao and Gavin Simon and musician Darren Korb. They have announced that they are working on a game for ‘digital download platforms’ on their website, with the intention of a 2011 release.

Supergiant has also announced its intention to find ‘talented 2D artists’, giving some indication as to the direction it hopes to be taking in the future.
