Borderlands developer thought will reveal new project at PAX event

Gearbox rumoured to be reviving Duke Nukem

Duke Nukem Forever refuses to die, with fresh rumous suggesting the game’s development has been picked up by Gearbox Software.

Sources have told Kotaku that the studio behind Borderlands and Brothers In Arms has picked up the project from the work started by the original developer 3D Realms – which began way back in 1997.

Gearbox president Randy Pitchford declined to comment, but suggested that he will be able to clarify the situation at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle.
