Gosen quits Microsoft

Two years on from his return to the games industry as the head of Microsoft’s casual games movement, David Gosen is leaving the Xbox platform holder, MCV has revealed.

Gosen, whose former roles include Nintendo Europe MD and I-Play CEO, is to leave his position as VP of strategic marketing within Microsoft’s interactive entertainment business in Europe “to explore new opportunities outside of the company”.

“The Xbox marketing team and Live business in EMEA has made great progress over the last two years, during a phase of consistent investment and innovation,” Microsoft’s VP of interactive entertainment EMEA Chris Lewis stated.
