Jagex returns to Apple with Star Cannon

Cambridge developer Jagex has today released a 2D shooter on the iPhone named Star Cannon.

While Jagex has produced numerous casual-friendly titles through its Fun Orb portal, it is most famous for its MMO Runescape, which currently courts 10 million monthly unique users.

“At Jagex we are always looking for new ways to offer our games to the widest possible audience and Star Cannon is the first of a handful of titles we will release this year for the iPhone and iPod Touch,” said Rob Smith, Jagex’s chief operating officer.
