Grand Cru gets $2m in seed funding for Supernauts

Grand Cru, a games start-up based in Helsinki, has recieved $2m in funding to develop cross-platform mobile adventure games.

The funding comes primarily from French venture capitalist firm Idinvest Partners.

Grand Cru was founded by six Finnish industry veterans, who have worked on titles like Habbo Hotel, Tiki Towers and the Playman Sports Series.

Their first game, The Supernauts, is a online persistent sandbox game where players work together to solve challenges and build their world using superpowers.

The Supernauts will be available for cross-platform play on Web, iOS and Android platforms, and is set for launch later this year.
