GTA IV gives franchise highest ever software tie ratio

Take-Two chair Strauss Zelnick has revealed that the software tie ratio for Grand Theft Auto IV is the highest it has ever been” for the franchise, reports

Speaking at the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference, and citing US NPD sales data through early October 2008, he revealed GTA IV totalled a 32 per cent software tie ratio for PS3, and a 28 per cent tie ratio for Xbox 360.

"Our tie ratio for Grand Theft Auto IV illustrates the strength of the franchise," confirmed Zelnick, speaking of the statistic that details the number of units sold compared to the installed user base of the console.
