Console experiment adds to studio success as Jetpack Joyride passes 14m downloads

Halfbrick’s Fruit Ninja sells 500k on Kinect

Australian studio Halfbrick has cause to celebrate today as two of its games reach major sales milestones.

Fruit Ninja, a casual game originall for iOS, has sold over half a million copies for Kinect, while Jetpack Joyride has reached 14m downloads.

Though Jetpack Joyride went free-to-play in December the game has grown substantially.

"There’s an update coming in the next month," Halfbrick’s Chief Marketing Officer Phil Larsen told Joystiq, "It’s the biggest one we’ve done so far."

The app reached 1m Downloads before going free to play, and has seen about 13m since that time.
