Spanish event moves venue to Barcelona’s Hesperia Tower Hotel

Minecraft and Counter-Strike devs join EA and Telltale execs at Gamelab 2016

Gamelab has revealed a change of venue and its speaker line-up for this year’s conference.

The Barcelona-set event will now take place in the city’s Hesperia Tower Hotel from July 29th to July 1st.

Among those headlining the talks are EA’s chief competition officer Peter Moore, Telltale Games CEO Kevin Bruner, Counter-Strike creator Minh Le, Minecraft lead programmer Jens Bergensten, Halfbrick CEO Shainiel Deo, Google’s Noah Falstein, Alloy Industries’ Phil Harrison and Two Bit Circus founder and CEO Brent Bushnell.

The industry experts will discuss a number of topics, with two key themes – the changing face of the industry and the proposed ‘indiepocalypse’ – influencing the focus of the whole three-day event.

Among those exploring the latter subject as part of the Indie Hub showcase will be Rami Ismail of Vlambeer, Alex Fleetwood of Sensible Object and Snappy Touch founder Noel Llopis.
