Canadian developer and publisher to port Braid to Mac and launch The Maw for Windows

Hothead Games to bring indie titles to new platforms

Hothead Games is teaming up with several indie developers to bring their games to new platforms.

The Canadian studio is beginning its new collaboration project by partnering with Jonathan Blow to port his popular Xbox Live Arcade title Braid to Mac, having secured exclusive publishing rights for the new version.

Additionally, Hothead has confirmed a new agreement with developer Twisted Pixel to deliver Live Arcade release The Maw on the Windows platform. Hothead will be integrating various new features to make the game compatible with yet to be confirmed digital distribution services.

Speaking about small, talented developers, Hothead Games COO Joel DeYoung said: "We focus on finding new distribution opportunities so that they can focus on what they do best: developing their next great game.

"These two titles represent only the tip of the iceberg. We’re committed to working with indies and helping them be successful, so look for lots more announcements to come."
