How do you set up a new games studio?

Next month, Develop is running its Start Your Own Studio special and we need your help.

Many of our readers have survived the risky process of building a new studio, but no doubt there are plenty that have yet to embrace this challenge.

We’re calling for any and all developers to offer their advice to those starting up new companies. What lessons did you learn? What pitfalls await them, and how can they be avoided? What are the most vital steps in taking a studio from an idea to a productive video games powerhouse?
