New tool lets devs deploy fully-rigged 3D models to Unity, Unreal and Stingray

iClone Character Creator available now

Animation tools firm Reallusion has released iClone Character Creator, a new product designed to help devs build and customise character models for their games.

The software is only available to developers who have purchased iClone 6 Pro. The character creator is a free add-on that specialises in creating realistic, animation-ready 3D models that can also be used with leading game engines and other tools.

Users can customise their characters either by starting with preset models or moulding their creation from scratch, either way using morphable muscle shape and bone scale to further tweak their model.

High resolution skin textures help create a realistic look, and characters can be clothed in a variety of outfits, which can be further customised with your own designs.

iClone users can create characters and then animate them with other Reallusion tools, or export them to 3ds Max and Maya via the iClone Animation Pipeline.

Character models are also compatible with a range of game engines, including Unity, Unreal and Stingray.

You can find out more about iClone Character Creator at Reallusion’s website.
