Ecologically-themed Microsoft competition features two game categories

Imagine Cup calls for entrants

Microsoft is calling for entrants to the 2008 Imagine Cup, its worldwide competition aimed at students.

In addition to the new game development category, about which we previously reported, this year’s competition includes the ‘Project Hoshimi’ challenge, where contenders write behavioural and strategy code for a team of agents in a virtual 3D environment.

The UK finalists for the two challenges win a two-week work experience at Microsoft Game Studios, before going on to compete at a global level for a prize fund.

The contest is open to all part-time or full-time college or university students. More information can be found at the Imagine Cup website.
