Indie versions of Modo and Mari head to Steam

The Foundry has released indie versions of its Modo and Mari game development tools on Steam.

3D modelling, sculpting and animation tool Modo is currently available for £172.49 (standard price £229.99). Painting and texturing software Mari meanwhile is on sale for £86.24 (standard price of £114.99).

Typically for individuals Modo costs £999 while Mari is priced at £1,221. Subscriptions are also available from £9.99 a month for Mari and £10.95 a month for Modo.

“With Modo indie and Mari indie on Steam, we looked at how we could pull the most relevant components of Modo and Mari and create accessible offerings for the individual game artist,” said The Foundry president of the Americas rad Peebler.
