Nottingham event to host indie talent showcase

Indiecade Europe returns to GameCity Squared

An expanded Indiecade Europe is to return to the GameCity Squared event for the third year running.

The Indiecade events promises to showcase ‘the very best’ in indie developments from around the globe, and will allow the public to enjoy titles selected as exciting, innovative and provocative.

“Indiecade Europe is an essential part of the GameCity programme, and we’re thrilled to be able to welcome the show back again this year for the exclusive European exhibition," said GameCity director Iain Simons.

“Our annual trip to Europe is one of the highlights of the Indiecade year and for 2009 the show is better than ever”, added Indiecade president Stephanie Barish. “They’re a juried selection from Indiecade’s annual competition and draw on worked from Asia, Europe, as well as North and South America."

This year, in an attempt to upscale the profile and size of Indiecade, a new Indie Village has been established, that will see a special area established in the centre of Nottingham’s Market Square, which plays the heart of the festival arena. Indie Village will also host networking opportunities and a number of impromptu sessions.
