Is Farmville leaving Facebook?

Reports are suggesting that Zynga could be considering removing its games from Facebook as it establishes its own social gaming space.

The speculation comes in the wake of what many are sighting as a breakdown in relations between the world’s biggest social network and the sometimes controversial developer behind Farmville and Mafia Wars.

According to TechCrunch, it has received and verified an email from an anonymous source that claims that, thanks in part to Facebook’s enforcing of the Facebook Credits system, Zynga is ready to launch Zynga Live. Apparently Zynga CEO Mark Pincus confirmed in a meeting that the forthcoming service would take the form of a social gaming network.
