Emergent's new game engine to integrate with numerous core technologies

Key middleware providers pledge support for Gamebryo LightSpeed

A dozen key technology providers including Nvidia, Scaleform, Audiokinetic and Speedtree have pledged support for Emergent’s new Gamebryo LightSpeed game engine by agreeing partner integrations.

“We are impressed with the overall workflow of LightSpeed, especially its rapid prototyping capabilities and deep integration with Scaleform’s widely adopted Flash UI and new Video middleware," said Scaleform’s president and CEO Brendan Iribe. "The flexibility, extensibility, and support made it possible for us to take the integration beyond our initial expectations."

Audiokinetic’s president and CEO Andre Nadeau added: “Audiokinetic is dedicated to providing our customers groundbreaking technology that will enable them to bring the best audio possible to their game. In order to accomplish our mission we only partner with the best technology on the market.

“Emergent’s newest product, Gamebryo LightSpeed, is not only excellent software for today, it is the foundational future for creative game development. As a partner with Emergent our solutions will be enhanced through the pluggable architecture of Toolbench and the underlining data driven framework."

Other companies to have agreed partner integrations with Gamebryo LightSpeed include Illuminate Labs, RAD, xaitment, Moraze, NaturalMotion, Umbra, Aristan and Lightsprint.
