Kynogon's AI tool gets tech for Nintendo platforms

Kynapse adds Wii support

Kynogon has announced that its Kynapse AI tool now supports teh Nintendo Wii.

In an official announcement the firm said that ‘game developers for Wii can now access all Kynapse functionalities and tools to empower their non-player characters with advanced behaviors’.

Pierre Pontevia, Kynogon CEO, added: “Wii is a remarkable success and we are proud to offer Kynapse to Wii game developers. The unique capabilities of Wii allow developers to produce creative forms of gameplay that require innovative AI. Kynapse has been selected by a very significant number of industry leaders for the development of triple-A titles. With Kynapse, we feel Wii developers have another critical tool in their hands that helps them unleash the real magic of the Wii system.”

Kynapse boasts a number of features including a 3D pathfinding solution for dynamic terrains, perception data generation and is optimised for use in hundreds of on-screen characters.

Although new, the Wii version is already being used by two studios.
