Two portable powerhouse IPs come together in Level-5 developed title for new Nintendo handheld

Layton meets Phoenix Wright in crossover project

Developer (and in Japan, publisher) Level-5 has announced that it is working on a crossover game featuring both Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright that will be released on Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS handheld.

Layton and Wright are two of the most popular handheld IPs and amongst the few IP that can rightly claim significant appeal in both eastern and western markets.

The game, which is being co-developed by Capcom and will be written by Ace Attorney developer Shu Takumi, was revealed just moments ago at a Level-5 press conference in Japan.

At the same event Level-5 also announced new RPG Time Travellers which is also set for 3DS.
