Five new board members for the growing games trade association

Lionhead and Crytek UK bosses join Tiga board

UK developer trade association Tiga has added five new members to its board, the group has announced.

The top table seats have been given to Lionhead co-founder Mark Webley (pictured, left), Crytek UK director Karl Hilton (right), as well as three other UK bosses.

No board members have left during the transition, Tiga has told Develop.

In a statement, Lionhead’s Webley said “it is important that all in-house studios join Tiga and actively back its campaign to advance the cause of the UK games industry”.

Lionhead is owned by Microsoft, while Crytek UK – formerly Free Radical Design – is owned by German outfit Crytek.

Crytek UK’s Hilton said the group will “support Tiga’s continued growth and campaigning activities.”

Patrick O’Luanaigh, the CEO of fast-growing PlayStation Home games developer Ndreams, has also has a board seat.

“Tiga is the natural home of digital developer-publishers and I am looking forward to working with the team to enable all game developer-publishers to achieve their potential,” O’Luanaigh said.

Another board seat was taken by Chris Kempt; the managiung director Kempt – an in-game advertising firm.

Serious games studio Toytek also has a board representative appointed, with the founder Georgina Mackenzie taking a Tiga seat.
