Boston developer working on new game in Underworld series

Looking Glass co-founder opens new studio Otherside Entertainment

Looking Glass co-founder Paul Neurath has formed a new game studio in Boston.

The developer, Otherside Entertainment, is working on a new RPG in the Underworld series, Ascension. The team is said to include some developers who worked on the original franchise.

It is not currently clear what platforms the new title will be for, but further details are promised during the coming months.

“With Underworld Ascension we are excited to be bringing back the Underworld franchise, making it more vital than ever before,” said CEO Neurath.

Neurath has worked on a number of titles during his career, including Thief, System Shock and Ultima Underworld. He also founded Looking Glass Studios and was later named as creative director of Zynga Boston.
