Ruzzle developer celebrates with virtual currency competition

Mag Interactive passes 100m downloads

Swedish mobile developer Mag Interactive has reached a new milestone with its portfolio of games now exceeding 100m downloads.

The firm is best known for word puzzle games Ruzzle, Ruzzle Adventure and Wordbrain, as well as Potion Pop and Quiz Cross.

To celebrate this accomplishment, Mag is running a ten-day competition across Ruzzle, Wordbrain and Wordbrain Themes where players an win 100m hints and coints. The studio claims 30 people will become virtual millionaires every day.

“We would never have gotten this far without our players, so it’s a no-brainer that we want to celebrate with all of [them],” CEO Daniel Hasselberg wrote in an email announcing the news.

“We’ve thought about the many ways we could illustrate this in order to make sense of it all. Imagine all of our players standing in a line. That line would go all away around the entire earth.

“A hundred million thank you.”
