Weekly prize draws reward those releasing Marmalade apps on Amazon Appstore

Marmalade giving away $80,000 in prizes to Amazon devs

Marmalade Technologies is encouraging more developers to release their apps on Amazon’s growing app store – by giving away $80,000.

Not to a single developer, mind, and not in cash either. That’s the total prize value for a series of weekly draws, and prizes will include Amazon Fire TVs, Kindle Fires, Amazon vouchers and Marmalade Plus licences.

There’s no trick to entering – any app deployed to the Amazon Appstore via Marmalade is automatically entered. You can find out more details here

"We’re really pleased to be able to offer our developer community more great reasons to bring their Marmalade apps to the Amazon Appstore," said Marmalade CEO Harvey Elliott. "Amazon’s phenomenal growth and developer-friendly reputation, combined with the recent launches of Amazon Fire TV and Fire phone are already great reasons to be on the platform, and we’re delighted to add further incentives through our weekly prize draw."

Marmalade enables developers to redeploy their games – or develop them from scratch – for multiple platforms from a single code base.
