Marvel has signed a deal with Gazillion to produce MMO games based on its characters, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
The developer has exclusive 10-year rights to the characters, which include Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk.
Its first game under the deal will be Super Hero Squad, which is set for release in 2010. Rival publisher DC Comics also has an MMO due out, developed in collaboration with Sony Online Entertainment.
