One-day event to also feature advice and insight from Universally Speaking, Testology and Localize Direct

Media Molecul, Playground Games and Jagex to speak at QA summit

The creators of franchises include LittleBigPlanet, Forza Horizon and Runescape will reveal their best QA and localisation practices at a one-day event in April.

The QA, Localisation and CS Summit is hosted by TIGA and aims to dig into the nitty-gritty details of refining a game before launch and allowing it to succeed on the global stage.

Among the developers and services firms holding talks and appearing on panel discussions will be Media Molecule Playground Games, NaturalMotion, Jagex, NextGen Skills Academy, Media-Loc and OMUK.

Develop’s very own James Batchelor will chair a discussion on the “Tools and processes testers have created in order to make the lives of their teams easier”, in which Media Molecule, Playground Games and NaturalMotion will reveal their top tech shortcuts.

Other speakers will cover topics including localisation in audio, QA apprenticeship schemes and “the importance of culturalisation in the user’s experience”.

Develop is also a media partner for the event, which is free to attend for TIGA members and QA staff. Additional tickets cost £25 plus VAT.

EDIT: The original version of this story stated that Rockstar would be speaking at the event, in line with information provided to Develop by TIGA. Develop has since been informed by TIGA that Rockstar has now pulled out of the event. The story has been updated accordingly.
