Minecraft sales reach 20 million milestone

The Minecraft craze shows little signs of slowing as total sales for the title have now surpassed 20 million.

Revealing the news on Twitter, Mojang developer Jens Bergensten said that the PC version of the world-building title alone had sold nine million copies.

Sales of Minecraft Pocket Edition for Android and iOS meanwhile have risen to 7.3m, having been downloaded 5,899,727 since it was released.

This means that since the start of January, the game has been downloaded around 1.4 million times.

Mojang recently also revealed impressive 2012 sales of 15 million, selling 1.2 during the Christmas week alone.
