Dead Space 3 on PC to be a barebones port

The PC version of Dead Space 3 will be a no-frills port of the console versions, developer Visceral Games has revealed.

The developer told Games.on.net that the PC version will not support DirectX 11 and will not include optional high-resolution textures.

While the PC version will feature a few graphics settings, there won’t be much to tweak beyond what’s available on the consoles.

A demo for the upcoming action-horror title is now available on Xbox Live, and EA recently announced that Mass Effect 3 players will receive N7 armour for both co-op players in Dead Space 3.

Dead Space 3 is scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on 8th February, but going by recent trends, expect the PC version to hit stores in India alongside its Origin release, which could be as early as 5th February.

The game will be priced Rs 2,999 on consoles and Rs 1,499 on PC.
