Mojang’s Scrolls sells 100k units, still in beta

Mojang has announced the paid-beta for its upcoming strategy card game Scrolls has sold 100k copies.

Mojang developer Henrik Pettersson took to Twitter to announce the milestone, which was reached in under two months of availability – with the beta originally launching on July 3rd.

The PC and Mac offering sells for $20 a pop, meaning the Minecraft studio’s follow-up has already banked $2m prior to its official release (whenever that may be).

Scrolls was originally unveiled in 2011 during Mojang’s inaugural MineCon event in Las Vegas. The game made news in 2012, when its developer got into an eventually settled trademark dispute with Bethesda regarding its Elder Scrolls franchise.
