Event director steps down to pursue other interests; Meggan Scavio steps up to run key dev conference

Moledina to leave GDC

Jamil Moledina has resigned from his position as executive director of GDC at Think Services to pursue other interests.

Moledina, who served as editor of Game Developer magazine before stepping up at the company to take over the company’s developers confernece five years ago, will remain with the company until his last day, Thursday August 28th next week.

In his stead, current event director Meggan Scavio will continue in her role overseeing GDC – Scavio has been a part of the conference for over eight years.

A statement from Think, published by Gamasutra, adds: "Jamil made the GDC his passion, and took on the art form that is games as his personal cause. The organization thanks him for his significant contributions to the Game Group and Think Services, and wishes him, as a friend of GDC, all possible success."
