German developer plans to expand operations in Asia

Mythic co-founder joins Bigpoint advisory board

The co-founder of Mythic Entertainment Robert Denton has joined the advisory board at Hamburg studio Bigpoint.

The developer has also appointed McKinsey & Company games expert Jayson Chi to the board.

Bigpoint hopes the additions will help its expansion into the Asian market, which it says accounts for 45 per cent of the industry.

“Rob brings a wealth of development experience and a rare passion for games that will be of great support to our development teams,” said Bigpoint CEO Khaled Helioui.

“Jayson has been covering the Asian gaming space for over ten years and is going to play an instrumental role in assisting us in our expansion strategy. Beyond the obvious strategic rationale, having them join the Bigpoint family is a testament to the work of the teams over the last two years."
