Sony London Studio, Rocksteady and Rockstar devs joins VR studio

NDreams secures $2m investment, expands senior team

Virtual reality firm NDreams has secured a £2m investment round and has invested in senior hires.

The company has received £2m from tech-centric investment outlet, Mercia Technologies. These funds are to be put to further
expansion.

This follows the company receiving £1.75 at the start of 2015.

NDreams has also made a number of senior hires to its team. VP of development Tom Gillo joins from PlayStation’s London Studio where he has helped made PlayStation VR titles. Rocksteady-vet Jamie Whitworth joins as lead designer having worked on the studio’s Batman: Arkham games.

Meanwhile, Richard Fabian has been hired as code department manager. Fabian previously held roles at the likes of Frontier Developments and Rockstar.

And finally, NDreams has brought Matt Simmonds on-board as senior audio designer. He has worked for 25 years in the industry and has worked on everything from Micro Machines to Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.
