Jason West and Vince Zampellaâ??s new studio outlines first game, hires so far

New Respawn project details emerge

Respawn Entertainment’s website has been updated for the first time since its enigmatic, text on a white background launch.

The studio, founded by former Infinity Ward luminaries Vince Zampella and Jason West, has released two heavily doctored images of its first game, and revealed some of its many new staff hired since launching last year.

The game is described briefly as “a multi-platform product based on new video game IP and funded through its publishing deal with Electronic Arts, one of the top publishers in the industry.”

Designers and artist formerly of SCE Santa Monica Studio, developers of the God of War series, are confirmed to be now working on Respawn’s first game. Job listings for a software engineer and QA lead remain on the site.

The Respawn community manager has also been confirmed as Abbie Heppe, currently handling much of the website content.

The legal wranglings between West and Zampella and Call of Duty owners Activision are continuing after the former were fired for insubordination last year. The two parties have brought several suits and counter-suits against each other since.
