Software Configuration Management pricing scheme â??offers more fexibilityâ??

New subscription model for Perforce

Content management system vendor Perforce has adjusted its pricing model to include a more flexible subscription service.

New subscription licenses sell in one-year periods, with a special offer for new customers of an annual subscription for $360 per user.

Perforce says the pricing structure for its new Software Configuration Management (SCM) system gives customers more flexibility, particularly SMEs and tech start ups “who can find it hard to predict what they’ll need”.

Perforce international VP Dave Robertson said: “Some companies want a powerful and scalable SCM system but are uncertain how many licenses they may need long term," said Dave Robertson, VP International for Perforce Software.

"Rather than pay full price up-front for a perpetual license, the subscription option makes it more cost effective for new and existing customers to add or remove licenses on an annual basis."
