Digital-focused developer will continue to work under its own name

Nicholas Games acquires Frontline Studios

Nicolas Games, the Poland-based developer and publisher, has acquired fellow Polish outfit Frontline Studios.

Financial terms of the deal were not announced.

The acquisition will “join together two of the fastest growing, most experienced game developers in Poland”, read a statement from Nicolas Games.

Frontline will however continue to self-publish its own games under its own name. The studio has licenses to distribute games over a multitude of platforms, from XBLA to PSN to iPhone and OnLive.

Nicholas Games CEO Tomasz Majka said the pair “will now be able to fast-track development and extend the quality of all our projects. We will be able to leverage our workforce and cross platform development capabilities across multiple teams.”
