Collaboration allows users to automatically store, manage and protect projects and audio pool references in a single repository

Nuendo adds Perforce Helix integration

Audio workstation software Nuendo 7 has added built-in support for collaboration and version control platform Perforce Helix.

The integration provides users with the ability to use Helix when versioning audio production and post-production files.

Users can utilise Helix to automatically store, manage and protect their Nuendo 7 projects and audio pool references in a single repository.

This also allows the code and assets for projects created with the software to be shared with artists, designers and developers.

“Nuendo users often work on audio projects within larger teams and need to be able to easily reference and manage the latest versions of shared media, which Perforce Helix makes extremely simple,” said Timo Wildenhain, senior marketing manager at Steinberg, the creator of Nuendo.

“We’re excited about this integration because our customers will benefit from more efficient audio production workflows while seamlessly protecting their intellectual property.”

“For many of our games studio customers, audio production is an essential component of a larger product development pipeline,” added Doug Miller, senior director of strategic partnerships at Perforce.

“The easier it is for audio, art and development teams to work together, the more efficient their product development pipeline is, which leads to faster time to market and greater ROI.

"This integration will go a long way toward tightening cross-team workflows to provide those benefits in a hyper-growth industry.”
