Chris Wood and Andrew Brown return to old flame

Pitbull snaps up Slightly Mad duo

Newcastle startup studio Pitbull has hired two key staff from London outfit Slightly Mad Studios.

Chris Wood and Andrew Brown, two coders with 17 years of experience between them, are said to have both joined Pitbull after their work on the EA game Shift 2 Unleashed.

Wood started his professional coding career at the original Pitbull studio before it was bought and dissolved by Midway. He stayed with Pitbull until its closure period, and moved to Slightly Mad to work on the Shift 2 Unleashed project.

Brown has 9 years of experience in game development, and has also moved from Pitbull to Slightly Mad before returning to his roots.

“The addition of Chris and Andrew to our team really cements our status as a leading games development studio,” said Pitbull founder Robert Troughton.

“We’re working with some of the top companies in the games industry at the moment,” he added.

Troughton said Pitbull will continue its hiring run.
