Playdom buys Three Melons studio

Social games specialists Playdom has purchased Argentinian advergames studio Three Melons for an undisclosed sum.

Three Melons has produced over fifty titles as a third-party developer, and recently launched their first original title Bola – a football-themed social networking title – boasting over 145,000 active users on Facebook.

"We are thrilled to join forces with Playdom," said CEO of Three Melons Mariano Suarez Battan.

"The company has positioned itself for success in 2010 and we look forward to working as a team to deliver on that goal."
