Battlefield outfit apparently tells EA that DLC needs to remain free

EAâ??s DICE intervenes on DLC prices

Swedish studio DICE has insisted to its publisher EA that the DLC it creates will not come at a cost to the consumer.

The studio’s pledge comes in the wake of Infinity Ward and Activision controversially releasing Modern Warfare 2 DLC at a premium price.

Speaking in the latest edition of Xbox World 360 magazine, DICE senior producer Patrick Bach proclaimed that the studio is “owned by EA but still very much DICE."

He said: "We don’t ever want to charge for our maps and insisted to EA that this attitude was crucial when it came to keeping our community happy and playing together."
