Distribution of content will cease after July 15th

PlayStation Mobile closing

Sony will close PlayStation Mobile from September 10th this year.

The scheme, launched in 2012, was Sony’s attempt to create a library of indie and Playstation games that could be played on both the Vita and select Android devices.

But the project failed to gain significant traction and Sony will now cease distribution of content after July 15th. In-app purchases and downloads of purchased content will also be discontinued from September 10th.

Users who deactivate their devices after September 10th will not be able to play purchased PSM content.
