Burnaby studio hiring for Frostbite 2 powered 'TF2-inspired Plants vs. Zombies game'

PopCap working on triple-A console title

Popcap is looking for a software engineer to build a triple-A console title using the Frostbite 2 engine.

The game will be developed by the Burnaby branch of the company that made its fame with casual titles like Peggle and Plants vs. Zombies.

"PopCap Burnaby working with Frostbite 2 on a "triple-A console game" (aka the TF2-inspired Plants vs Zombies game)," reads a Twitter post by "superannuation".

The official post from PopCap is more cryptic, and confirms nothing aside from the use of the Frostbite 2 engine.

"The PopCap studio is looking for an experienced generalist SE to build a triple-A console title," says the listing.

"This generalist will work on a broad range of game systems including, but not limited to: animation, audio, resource management, pipelines and visual effects. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with the Frostbite 2 engine."

Interested candidates can find more information on the position here.
