Tech firm counters claims it is pulling away from game creation

RealNetworks pledges game dev commitment

Responding to recent reports that suggested a headcount cull at RealNetworks could mean the company is moving away from anything but a streamlined game development model, the firm has told CasualGaming.biz that is committed to creating new causal games.

"Contrary to what has been recently rumored and reported, we are continuing to invest heavily in creating new casual games in the US and Europe that we will offer exclusively across our extensive global network," said John Barbour, President of RealNetwork’s gaming operation and portal GameHouse.
