Between 25-to-30 staff lose their jobs at Dragon Age: Legends developer

Report: BioWare closes San Francisco office

EA has closed down BioWare’s San Francisco office, according to a report.

Speaking to GamesRadar, a source at the company said the publishing giant had decided to shut the studio due to the high cost of doing mobile game development in Redwood Shores.

It has also been claimed that between 25 and 30 have lost their jobs as a result.

The studio, formerly known as EA2D, is best known for Dragon Age: Legends on Facebook and the browser-based Mirror’s Edge 2D.

The office was labelled part of BioWare in August 2011.
