Departure of Nils Puhlmann brings executive exodus total to twelve

Report: Zynga’s chief security officer resigns

Zynga’s chief security officer Nils Puhlmann has left the social games giant, according to a report.

The company has suffered a steady stream of departures since its last quarterly report brought share prices to an all-time low.

If the sources are correct, this brings the total of the executive exodus to twelve.

Puhlmann had served as CSO since 2009.

One of the sources responsible for the leak told Tech Crunch that Puhlmann had built "one of the strongest security teams in the San Francisco area, and, in my opinion, the strongest in all of the gaming industry.”

Zynga has denied requests for comment on the rumor; a secrecy only legal because Puhlmann is not listed as a C-level executive and therefore is exempt from SEC reporting requirements.
