Riot Games and BioWare vets open new studio in Vancouver

A team of ex-Riot Games and BioWare employees have opened up a new studio in Vancouver.

Phoenix Labs is headed up by ex-Riot senior producer Jesse Houston as president, former Riot VP of people and special projects Sean Bender as CEO, and League of Legends senior development director Robin Mayne as VP of development.

Other staff include animation director Greg Lidstone, art director Glenn Barnes, design director Richard Hough, writer Jessie Leigh Gagnon and studio manager Jeanne-Marie Owens.

The developer aims to make co-operative multiplayer games with “strong experiential narratives”.
