Rolocule’s Rolomotion wins Silver Edison Award

Rolocule Games has won the silver prize at the 27th Edison Awards for its Rolomotion motion gaming technology.

The Edison Award recognises the most innovative products, services and business leaders, with nominations based on the concept, value, delivery and impact of each innovation. Rolomotion was nominated in the entertainment category alongside AfterShokz (Gold) and Logitech (Bronze).

The motion gaming tech enables players to use the iPhone along with Apple TV to bring motion-controlled gaming to iOS. Motion Tennis was the first Rolomotion game to be released, and Rolocule is currently working on its second motion-controlled game.

Our judges recognised Rolocule’s Rolomotion as a true innovator out of the many products in its category,” said Frank Bonafilia, executive director of the Edison Awards.

Rolocule is now also planning to bring Rolomotion to Android, allowing users to play Motion Tennis via Smart TVs.

It’s an honour to be recognised by the Edison Awards and to join an elite group of companies like Microsoft, Apple, Qualcomm and others who have won this award in its illustrious 27 year history. The award also shows our commitment towards building a truly innovative global gaming company that will inspire the next wave of social games on mobile,” ” said Rolocule CEO Rohit Gupta.
