Engine developer gets $5.5m investment, say reports

Rumour: Unity gets cash injection

Rumours are circulating that Unity has just closed a $5.5 million investment round.

That’s according to reports collated from Gamasutra, anyway – but whether the investment was headed up by Sequoia Capital, or whether that firm contributed the whole amount, is unclear.

Further Unity announcements are expected next week during the firm’s Unite conference, at which Develop will be reporting from. We know at least one piece of news already, and it’s pretty damn amazing.
