Severe layoffs for RealNetworks games teams

As a result of a number of layoffs across the entire RealNetworks company, the organisation’s game development teams are reported to have suffered a significant reduction in headcount.

It has been suggested that only a Facebook dev team and a handful of streamlined casual PC designers remain.

As reported by Gamasutra, 85 RealNetworks staff have lost their jobs in an attempt to "reduce the spans and layers of management to create greater efficiency, teamwork and customer focus."
