No titles based around the series currently in development, says SCEE producer

Sony has ‘no plans’ to continue Resistance IP

Sony has no definitive plans to continue the Resistance franchise in future, an SCEE exec has claimed.

Speaking to OPM, SCEE online producer Daniel Brooke said that whilst the series had been exciting to work on, there was no upcoming game based on the IP currently in the works.

The creator of the Resistance series Insomniac Games revealed earlier this year that it was to step away from the series after releasing the third entry last year.

The last game in the franchise to be released was Resistance: Falling Skies on PS Vita, developed by US studio Nihilistic Software. The game was met with a poor critical reception however, garnering an average score of 59 on Metacritic.
