Sony hires Creative Assembly director to work on Project Morpheus

Sony Computer Entertainment has hired Creative Assembly’s design director to expand its virtual reality team.

Gary Napper will leave his role as design director at the Alien: Isolation studio and take on a new role at Sony working on the Project Morpheus headset for PlayStation 4, according to GamaSutra.

Napper’s VR experience includes a number of experiments with the Oculus Rift, including a virtual reality demo of Alien: Isolation – which Develop was lucky enough to playtest last year.

Project Morpheus was announced at GDC 2014, and is due for release next year.
