Former developer relations exec now working with indies at Microsoft

Sony’s Agostino Simonetta joins ID@Xbox

Agostino Simonetta, previously a PlayStation employee, has taken a new role on Microsoft’s ID@Xbox programme.

Simonetta spent five years at SCEE as senior account manager for development, and will be well known to many UK studios thanks to his work with PlayStation’s developer relations team. 

He was instrumental in organising the PlayStation Open Days that have toured the country and parts of Europe over the past year, an event that helped indies and smaller studios gain a greater understanding on how to get their game to market – even on non-PlayStation formats.

Simonetta is now third party account manager for ID@Xbox, Microsoft’s indie-centric initiative designed to get independently developed titles onto Xbox One and other Microsoft platforms. He announced his new role via Twitter:
