Star Citizen has 268-person dev team

Well over 250 developers around the globe are working on Chris Roberts’ prominent Kickstarter success story Star Citizen.

The game has currently raised more than $46m and now has five studios behind it, encompassing a grand total of 268 people.

This was revealed in an interview withVentureBeat, in which the Chris Roberts, creator of Wing Commander and Star Citizen, shared a little more about how the latter is being developed.

"I think at last count [our headcount] was 268, between contractors and in-house," he said. "We have three internal studios – one here in Los Angeles, one in Austin and one in Manchester.
